These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of FaultLog.io (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
FaultLog.io provides AI-assisted troubleshooting reports and how-to references for industrial automation and maintenance workflows. The Service includes a public library, a community forum powered by Discourse, and tools to generate and share reports.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
The Service uses the FaultLog community forum (Discourse) for authentication and user profiles. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it.
You may submit information, reports, attachments, and other content (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant FaultLog.io a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, and display your User Content solely to operate, improve, and promote the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that your User Content does not violate any laws or third-party rights and does not include confidential or sensitive data you are not authorized to share.
The Service provides AI-generated outputs intended for informational purposes only. Outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and are not a substitute for professional judgment, safety protocols, or manufacturer documentation. You are solely responsible for verifying outputs before acting on them.
Industrial equipment and automation systems can be hazardous. You agree that you are responsible for following all applicable safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and manufacturer instructions. FaultLog.io is not liable for any damages or injuries resulting from use of the Service.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to reverse engineer the Service, bypass security or rate limits, upload malware, or post unlawful, abusive, or harmful content. We may remove content or suspend accounts for violations.
Community participation is subject to Discourse’s terms and community guidelines. We may close or remove community topics when a related report is deleted or violates these Terms.
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by FaultLog.io and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without permission.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violations of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” FaultLog.io disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FaultLog.io will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FaultLog.io from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or your User Content.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict of law principles. Venue for any disputes shall be in Jefferson County, Alabama.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
